Estas fotografías sucesivas, se pegan o se fijan por su parte inferior a un eje central que, movido por una manivela, permite la visión particular de cada una de las fotografías amplificándolas por medio de una lupa, a través de la cual el espectador las ve y reuniendo esas imágenes en su sistema visual produce la ilusión del movimiento.
