Museum Het Valkhof - Kantharos van Stevensweert Datering: 25 v.Chr.-50 n.Chr. Deze zilveren beker stamt uit de vroeg-Romeinse tijd en is gevonden bij grindwinningen in de Maas bij Stevensweert. Een Romeinse eigenaar heeft deze drinkbeker, gemaakt in het oostelijke deel van het Middellandse Zeegebied, meegenomen naar de Lage Landen. Het betreft een binnen- en buitenbeker op een hoge voet. Er zaten oorspronkelijk ook twee oren aan. Op de beker is onder andere de wijngod Bacchus te herkennen. Vanwege de knots en pijl en boog bij een ontbrekende kop weten we dat deze van Hercules geweest moet zijn. Aan de onderzijde is de beker versierd met wijn- en klimopranken die haast los lijken te komen van de wand.
