Small, thin-buttet flint axe
Small flint-axe with gently curving sides and completely polished. From the Danish Funnel Beaker Culture, about 3.300 BC. The axe has been damaged by fire. Found in 3 pieces by fieldwalking on a site with many pieces of fire-damaged flintaxes. The site is close to the Sarup Enclosures excavated by Moesgaard Museum. Museum number 2266x1472. Dimension: Length: 11.8 cm, maximum with by the edge : 4.2cm, thickness 2 cm from the neck: 1.4 cm. Published by Niels H. Andersen. For 3D-presentation: 154 images with Fuji XF10-camera.
