This model shows a part of the anatomy of the human brain.
You see the cortex, part of the truncus cerebri with an abstract form of the diencephalon on top, the cerebellum, some of the main nerves and some of the main arteries.
This model is a byproduct as a part of my bachelor project in scientific visualization.
Its made with ZBrush and Cinema4D. Basis of the anatomy for this model is from the book
“Rudolf Nieuwenhuys, Jan Voogd, Christiaan van Huijzen-The Human Central Nervous System-Steinkopff (2007)”
Its a cooperation with the Departement of Neurosurgery from the Charite University Hospital in Berlin.
The original model has a much higher polygon-density than the one you see here.
