3d model i made over this week, i tried to create a French variant of the Jaegers from pacific rim (in a universe where the monsters attacked europe and other nations) it’s name is a reference to the “maquis” soldiers of the french resistance in WW2. This is a diorama created from one of Jenny Brozek’s concepts ‘The Gate’ found on Artstation. I really loved the concept when I saw it and was desperate to make it in 3D. It was a really nice project to sink time and effort into and I learnt a lot throughout the process. I created the model in Maya, Textured in Substance Painter to get the basic textures and colours down before taking the maps into Photoshop to start the painting process. I appreciate Jenny for letting me make her awesome concept come alive in 3D and I hope you guys like it too :).
