Finished diorama for my 3D1 course, took me a bit of time but thankfully I started on it soon enough. Lots of trees and plants because I love nature :) aswell as a nice cozy river this is how I cope with my escapism to go into a forest and never return to society bonus points if you can find all of the chickens! Pretty long and arduous project - especially on the technical side. I tried very hard to make a mesh that’s optimized but still with sufficient triangles to remain pretty. I was aiming for around 30k tris, and while i slightly overshot, it’s still a personal W for me. A lot of learning in this one.
In the end it’s totally worth it to see my fella all grumpy and wobbling in 3D space. There’s really nothing like making something from scratch, from concept to engine, all by yourself. Feels good !
