Plot summary from IMDB: The film takes place in the not-so-distant future, at a time in which Earth’s plant life has been decimated. When orders from Earth are received to destroy the greenhouses, botanist and ecologist Freeman Lowell (Bruce Dern) can’t go through with it, and cannot persuade his three colleagues to help him save the plants, so he makes other “arrangements”.
