For this model I began in Autodesk Maya and modeled my base mesh and then brought the model into Mudbox and sculpted all the fine details. I also added the color textures to the model using mudbox. 3D Model is ready to download for free

This huge sculpture stands in the middle of Bordeaux (France). When I walked by, I was stunned by this “half flat” sculpture, and shot it with my phone. I was realy impressed by the very realistic rendering, although most of the volume has been flattened.
Another feature worth noting : its proportions take into account the fact that the viewer is on the ground, so that the upper part of the head is much larger than it should be , to compensate for the perspective. This is a technique that has been know for a long time, (used by Michelangelo), but it’s interesting to see how it applies here.
It’s 7 meter high, and because of this I had some difficulty reconstructing the top parts. 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 112484 polygons.

This is my sculpture of a modern interpretation of the Cyberdemon boss from the classic Doom.
I used some old Doom concept drawings for reference and tried to addapt the sprite work into something more modern.
