This is my first character statue, created using Zbrush. I am not a character artist by trade, (instead an environment artist) but it is worth the practice to increase my skills all around. Why no billboard textures?: My models use meshes for individual leaves and parts. Typically a billboard texture will be used to reduce poly count in leaf clusters. However, my models are not intended for games/VR but for closeups in raytracing such as Blender Cycles. Models here use meshes with individual leaves because billboard textures are notoriously slow in raytracing workflows.
