Currently on museum display at the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, Florida, this piece originally was located above the ravelin structure - a smaller fortification that provided a first line of defense at the entrance of the fort. This Coat of Arms was removed in 1957 to conserve the piece, and has been on display allowing visitors to the National Park to see it up-close. Today, a replica has been placed where the original Coat of Arms was found. As part of our comprehensive 3D survey, we used structured light scanning and imaging to document both the replica and the original piece. Our data is being used for digital archival preservation, conservation, additional replica creation, and for 3D modeling and public engagement. Our Sketchfab design uses an historic image of the ravelin structure from 1895, showing the Coat of Arms as it was, before its removal. Nota aclaratoria: El modelo se realiza con capturas de Iphone6S, ras del suelo. En la zona superior se carece de tomas y, por lo tanto, quedan huecos que se tratan de reparar (diferenciándolos del modelo real de la fuente) a través de objetos geométricos en el techo del frontón y molduras laterales del friso (se utiliza otro color también) para cerrar. También se realiza posproceso en Blender y arreglo de texturas en zonas vacías.
Construida a mediados del siglo XVI por el maestro en cantería don Ginés Martínez, natural de Baeza. La fuente de Santa María, de tipo renacentista, posee un cuerpo inferior formado por tres vanos, junto a una estructura columnar con dos frentes, en los cuales se puede observar el escudo de Felipe II.
