În anul 1955, în cariera Fabricii de Ciment de la Medgidia, a fost descoperită o piesă unică în lumea tracică și scitică: o sabie-emblemă, din bronz, în formă de akinakes, care se aplica, probabil, pe un monument comemorativ sau pe sarcofacul ori pe zidul camerei funerare a unei căpetenii militare. Spadă scurtă (akinakes de tip Kelermes, cu mâner în forma literei „T” și garda în formă de inimă) din bronz, turnată dintr-o singură bucată, împreună cu teaca. Reprezentare a unei arme ceremoniale din categoria „spadelor-emblemă”, utilizată probabil, date fiind niturile masive de pe verso, pentru a fi fixată pe o statuie (menhir ?). Obiect unicat, fără analogii directe; doar unele asemănări tipologice și iconografice cu o serie de artefacte (arme, dar și obiecte decorative) descoperite în spațiul nord-pontic și sud-dunărean, în medii culturale scitice sau tracice 3D Model is ready to download for free

Bronze statue located next to the City Park (Stadspark) of Antwerp (Belgium).
The statue was cast in Paris by F. Barbedienne, from an original stone sculpture by Marcel Bourbier. The piece was part of the French pavillion during the World Fair of 1930 in Antwerp, and was later gifted to the city of Antwerp by the city of Paris. The original stone sculpture has since disappeared (a smaller bronze cast is on display in the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Nîmes / EDIT: apparently the original is now at Hearst Castle in California!).
This beautiful, innocent scene foreshadows a tragic ending; the girl depicted in the sculpture, Marcelle Battu, was later accused of collabortion with the German occupiers and sentenced to death by the Military Court of Nîmes.
