A high-detail model of the famous sword of Altair. It features the classic eagle head as a pommel, and the whole guard area is very reminiscent of the original sword. I took some liberties when it came to the rune-like details on the pommel itself, but tried to remain as close the the original(s) as possible.
The sword was done via classic hard surface modelling, only said details on the pommels were sculpted and then baked onto the normal map.
I gave the blade textures a good amount of wear, and went overall for a less clean “game-y” look.
The entire project was done in Blender and Substance Painter.
