This piece was created for the artstation feudal japan challenge. Unfortunately i didn’t finish on time so i put the piece on hold till now.
I chose this concept art to push myself and try work outside of my comfort zone. My main goals were to improve working on a female character, clothes, hair and working off of someone else’s concept.

In this project l I experimented with creating complex rig for the robotic suit (learned how to set up IK, apply movement constraints, and how to deal with cables etc.). I also wanted to try out a more complicated hairstyle, so I did a Google image search for “Badass Hairstyle” and ended up settling on a variation of the dutch braid. This time around I also made sure to maintain more consistent pixel density across the various textures. I sprinkled a bit of French all over the model to make it more Canadian.
