This helmet is part of a suit armour with similar decorative grooves as on the helmet’s skull.
This type of armour is often referred to as Maximilian armour (after the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I). The bellows visor on the helmet is also characteristic of this type of armour.

I stumbled across an amazing concept of this bugbear by Jaemin Kim and thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to make a full character from a concept. I started by sculpting the whole body in ZBrush and then retopologized using the Zsphere tool. I then went on to unwrap him in 3ds Max, texture him in Substance Painter, finally using Maya to rig and do the simple breathing animation.
