Sculpture of a Lion
In folk sculpture, animal figures were rarely independent works. Mostly they were part of the decoration of the royal gates and floor candle holders, as well as symbols of the Gospel writers. The image of a lion as a heraldic symbol is most common. In wooden folk sculpture, the lion was depicted not as a formidable king of beasts, but rather as a good-natured one. In this sculpture, the carver tried to depict, in a primitive manner, the animal’s characteristic features, in particular a bend of its back, a tail with a tassel, and a shaggy mane, alluding to it with the help of rhythmic carved wavy lines 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 199996 polygons.
