Der 1936 in Betrieb genommene Doppelstock-Stromlinien-Wendezug der LBE – Lübeck-Büchener Eisenbahn – nahm mit mehreren technischen Neuerungen bereits frühzeitig Entwicklungen des heutigen Eisenbahn-Fahrgastverkehrs vorweg. Im Mai 1936 wurden erstmals Doppelstock-Stromlinien-Schnellverkehrswagen auf der Strecke Hamburg Hauptbahnhof – Lübeck-Travemünde Strand eingesetzt, die weltweit Aufsehen erregten. Sie waren als Wendezüge mit Steuerwagen und automatischen Scharfenberg-Kupplungen ausgestattet. Die Zweier-Wageneinheiten hatten in der Mitte ein gemeinsames Jakobsdrehgestell. Die speziell für diese Personenwagen entwickelten Dampflokomotiven waren Schnellverkehrs-Tender-Dampflokomotiven mit Stromlinienverkleidung, die auch vom anderen Zugende aus dem Steuerwagenabteil vom Lokführer ferngesteuert werden konnten 3D Model is ready to download for free

Stephenson`s Rocket was an early steam locomotive of 0-2-2 wheel arrangement, built in 1829 at the Forth Street Works of Robert Stephenson and Company in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Though the Rocket was not the first steam locomotive, it was the first to bring together several innovations to produce the most advanced locomotive of its day.
