3D model of the Boeing 747-8i, featuring the latest Lufthansa livery. This is the ground version of my model, with landing gear, flaps fully extended, and relaxed wings. Check also my flying version with flexed wings. Created in Blender. The Boeing 747 is a large, long–range wide-body airliner and cargo aircraft manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes in the United States. The lastest version, 747-8, was launched on November 14, 2005, with new General Electric GEnx engines, and was first delivered in October 2011. The passenger version, named 747-8 Intercontinental or 747-8i, can carry 467 passengers in a typical three-class configuration over 7,790 nmi (14,430 km). The -8i’s upper deck is lengthened compared to the 747-400; the wing is thicker and deeper, holding more fuel, and wider with raked wingtips. The 747-8i is the biggest airliner of the Boeing Company, and the world’s fastest commercial jet.
