Hi! This was my submission to the May/June monthly environment and prop art challenge found here. There were several images to choose from, but I chose this hand painted book from the provided list. The back of the model wasn't provided, so I had to whip up something to go back there. Hope you like it! Taking advantage of the circumstances of #Mermay, I have made my very first foray into the field of UVs and texturing.
I am especially proud of the animation, in which you can see how the body of the creature traces a quite natural undulation to move through the water.
