I stumbled across an amazing concept of this bugbear by Jaemin Kim and thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to make a full character from a concept. I started by sculpting the whole body in ZBrush and then retopologized using the Zsphere tool. I then went on to unwrap him in 3ds Max, texture him in Substance Painter, finally using Maya to rig and do the simple breathing animation.

5 months ago my first WIP model for this vehicle went up on Sketchfab. From this early WIP wireframe/curve network model, i’ve more recently worked on the NURB surface skinning. The vehicle is designed from inspiration based on a series of books by the author Hugh Howey. This is a vehicle for the planet Lok, in the Molly Fyde books. This is the Arctic BioniX P140 computer fan. It is modeled to scale at 140x140x25mm.
I modeled it in Solidworks and simply exported it in GLB to be slightly optimized in Blender for upload on Sketchfab.
No work has been done on retopo. It is the raw export but I included a .step CAD file if you want to open it in your favourite NURBS modeling soft.
