This tower has long since been abandoned by its former occupants and lies in ruin. I used the Warhammer 40k models Witchfate Tor and Dreadstone Blight as my main references for the design of the tower. I started this model in Maya, blocking in all the shapes. Then I moved to ZBrush and sculpted in detail. In hindsight, I wish I had made this a more modular blockout because I ran out of time sculpting each individual piece. After I had sculpted enough to finish baking my Game Res mesh I moved to texturing in Substance Painter. It took a bit of time to get my UV’s laid out well enough to have the resolution I wanted, and I ended up going from 1 texture set to 2 in order to achieve the level of detail I wanted. Project I worked on in July and August 2022. Reference of the bolt was not available at that time, neither it is now, so if you happen to own this marvelous weapon or know someone that does please contact me on Ein#5777 (discord) :).
The weapon contains 4 UV maps: (handle, lower receiver, upper receiver, first charging handle), (handleguard, suppressor, second charging handle), (stock) and (magazine).
I chose to split them in order to allow modularity, since I want to make variations in front parts (with and without suppressors), magazines and make the second available stock for this gun model.
