A wooden screen painted by my mother in law, a gift for our wedding 12+ years ago. The books carry the names of our wedding tables, those names were based on all types of things we cherished: movies, books, places, things… The back of the screen shows hot air baloons: we got married near Annonay, a place where the Montgolfier brothers invented the hot air balloon. Tom Haywood’s Kicking Machine, built in summer of 1937 by local handyman Wilber Herring, in Croatan, New Bern, North Carolina. For my week 10 CGMA Stylized Game Assets course assignment, I designed and created a cart asset inspired by Kena: Bridge of Spirits made by Ember Lab. I made the concept for the cart in Krita, then sculpted it in Zbrush, 3D modeled it in Blender, and textured it with Substance Painter. My aim was to make sure that the asset would fit in with the game’s environment and art style.
