In Japan a tōrō is a traditional lantern made of stone, wood, or metal. Like many other elements of Japanese traditional architecture, it originated in China; however, extant specimens in that country are very rare, and in Korea they are not as common as in Japan. In Japan, tōrō were originally used only in Buddhist temples, where they lined and illuminated paths. Lit lanterns were then considered an offering to Buddha. During the Heian period (794–1185), however, they started being used also in Shinto shrines and private homes. This one is Tachi-dōrō type of Kasuga–dōrō. I bought a setup for my microscope to use it as a photogrammetry tool for very small objects. I’m not there yet regarding accuracy, but I am pleased with this first results. The photogrammetry C1 I made by mirroring the half that was completely scanned, and I still miss a lot of details, but the reason for wanting to be able to also make photogrammetry models is that I want to be sure about the overall shape of my models. As you can see, even though most of it is the same, especially the transverse processes (the “wings”) have a slightly different orientation. I need to redo the scan to be sure if I need to remodel the modeled C1.
I added another scan made with agisoft with the same set of photos. The scan is totally different somehow, not only in the details but also in the larger features.
(and yes, I’m a perfectionist..)
Edit: added yet another version with agisoft. Used 514 photos and mirrored one half. It’s getting better, even without image stacking. The microsope probably isn’t good enough to do that 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 76836 polygons.

Quick test using my latest photogrammetry rock textures. Rather than capturing full 3D rock scans, why not build a tileable texture and use it to displace meshes and create rock formations? That way all your rocks share the same texture, which can save an incredible amount of memory. Furthermore the results are still pretty realistic! You could even imagine creating a modular set of planes, and then just apply a different texture/displacement and make a totally different environment in seconds.
