The cremated remains of a middle-aged man were found during the excavation of a round barrow at Sherford, Plymouth (Devon). He was found associated with a limestone mortuary structure and there are suggestions that he was a person of importance in his community. A singular copper-alloy knife was also found associated with him. This interpretation represents a person of some stature as evidenced by his clothing and the knife. Spring is coming and the volunteers and archaologists are getting the wattle and daub walls up on roundhouse, or rather getting the daub up on the wattle.
Copmpare with some earlier scans of the roundhouse from February when the roof was not thatched: https://sketchfab.com/nebulousflynn/collections/living-in-the-round-8dd663ef2e364b97b00c9f1c92f0cb58
Captured on a visit to the Living in the Round project. I challenged myself to see what outputs I could get with just my phone as the capture device.

The 3D model presents a digital reconstruction of solid and riveted rings of archaeological mail armour. To create 3D models of the rings, we used polygonal modelling functions of Blender software. In order to record the relevant measurements of the mail rings, we used a list of parameters. This list includes 11 parameters for a riveted ring and four parameters for a solid ring. The accuracy of the digital replicas of the rings was 0.01 mm. The authors of the reconstructions are
