豐田神社大正四年（1915）鎮座，屬無格社，為豐田移民村的日人在臺灣安身立命的信仰倚靠。戰後神社被改建為碧莲寺，目前尚存鳥居、狛犬及石燈籠等遺跡。此對狛犬位於寺前，身驅刻有渦漩紋，台座處有「野口佐次郎 小松口太郎奉納 昭和二年十月二十五日」款。在造型上，匠師順著芯棒塑形，自後腦勺沿著背脊塑出一道優美的弧線，前端以筆直細長的前肢作為支應，未端則以豎立的尾鬃平衡了頭重腳輕的情況，在單純精簡中透出形的美感。如後肢不多作骨路肌肉的描寫，與服貼的鬃毛同匯融於渾暢簡潔的軀體；而前肢肘部僅以一横線劃分，即巧妙地打破視覺的單調冗長，卻又不至擾亂整體的協調，誠為一簡中寓繁的難得逸品。
