The ship is loosely based on the “new kingdom" trading vessels found in ancient egypt. the model was created during my internship at Vasco for a mobile game, using 3DsMax for modeling and Photoshop for texturing. due to performance I've only used diffuse textures. Mask from a complete cartonnage consisting of mask and three breast pieces. Excavated by the Egypt Exploration Society at Abydos. Ancient Egyptian, dating to the Ptolemaic period, 323-30 BC. The gold colouring reflects the ancient Egyptian belief that that god’s skin was made from that material. Other symbols of rebirth after death include the winged scarab beetle, show on the top of the head.
