Asset modeled in Blender, baked in Marmoset Toolbag 4, and textured in Quixel Mixer. Made with 4K texture maps (Albedo, AO, Metalness, Roughness, Normal). Model is composed of 432,368 tris. The goal of this model was to practice using marmoset and quixel to make an asset similiar to one existing in a game to test my abilities, i chose to model the drilldozer (doretta) from Deep Rock Galactic. The game has a low-poly aesthetic and i wanted to try to make a more photoreal version and had to make some adjustments to the design to fit the change. Fanart of the P-996 Lazer featured in Rockstar Games’ GTA V.
I modeled this from the ground up to be a mix between the Lazer’s more quirky elements such as the perculiar placement of the airbrakes and the F-16’s characterisic shape and details such as the bubble canopy. The Model was built and animated in Blender while the textures were made using GIMP.
