In this study I tried to make an armor based on the character Kael from Wow, it was my first more complex model in handpainted painting, I really liked the process, and I hope you like the result. Kael'thas “Kael" Sunstrider was the Prince of Quel'Thalas, the last of the House of Sunstrider, as well as a senior member of the Kirin Tor. After the fall of Quel'Thalas, Kael'thas led what remained of his people, the sin'dorei, in the service of the Alliance. Striving to placate his people's addiction to magic, he later covertly allied with Illidan Stormrage, but betrayed him to the Burning Legion when its master, the demon lord Kil'jaeden, enticed Kael with the promise of salvation for the blood elves. Bosun was born on the IG2 Space Station in the Tern system. Captain Kas commandeered the Palinurus 2 spaceship and escaped with the adolescent Bosun and her parents. Bosun was raised aboard the ship and spent her youth traveling throughout the Ludus Galaxy with her many adventures being her classroom and the ship’s engineering technology her major.
Years later, her parents retired to the safe havens of Lydium 9 and yet Bosun decided to stay aboard. She assumed the roles of Chief Engineer and cook from her mother and father, respectively. She has been a trusted and pivotal member of the crew ever since. In addition to her culinary and engineering offerings, she also repaired and reprogrammed Thal; created the grapple tech that the specialists use; and refined the Uplink and Fuel Scope towers used in their larceny.

Hello all! My name’s Fletcher. I’m a new character artist on the team. Here’s one of the polished armor sets I just finished. This is the final model and textures that will be used in-game. I’m using Sketchfab web-based 3D viewer to preview my models and the team is considering using this method to display progress for various assets in the future. Having the ability to have an interactive viewer that allows you to pan and rotate a model in real time is a very helpful and immersive way to show our work.
Sketchfab’s presentation renderer is different than our game renderer, so assets may appear differently in game right now; but our goal is to match in game visuals as closely to this as possible.
