The Nakagin Capsule Tower Building, known outside Japan as the Nakagin Capsule Tower, is a mixed-use residential and office tower designed by architect Kisho Kurokawa and located in Shimbashi, Tokyo, Japan.
Please note I had to compress some of the textures to fit the 100mb requirement for this viewer and some decals don’t appear as clear.
This is a hand-made 3D model of what the rooms looked like using various reference images and videos. The aim was to make it look like as close to what it would look like when you first move in. Hard surface project I did from a concept of Sheng Lam.
In this project, I tried to make the result to be as close as possible as the concept and the most realistic possible as well.
For the parts that are not in the concept, I tried to match the general style of the whole with details that still are hard surface and color matching with the drawing.
The walkman is 33k polys and the tapes are 17k polys (3 to 5k polys each) for a total of 55k polys.
