Christina was crowned Queen of Sweden at the age of 23. On the occasion of her coronation, Christina had a series of medals minted, executed by the Frenchman Erich Parise. They all show on the obverse the profile of the queen with a laurel wreath in her hair. CHRISTINA REGINA. On the reverse, an arm projects from a cloud on the right side of the image, holding a crown.
