Description: Petroglyph from the archaeological site of Wadi al Hilo, Sharjah, UAE. Wadi Helo (Arabic: وادي حلو, literally ‘Sweet wadi’) is a seasonal watercourse located in the Hajar Mountains of Sharjah. The site is important for both the extensive water course, and for the rich copper deposits that were mined for over 8000 years. Numerous petroglyphs are found along the edge of the wadi. Boulder number 2 (VALLEY 1). Methodology: 3D model made in Reality Capture using 388 images. Additional processing completed in Geomagic Wrap and InstantMeshes. This model includes panel 4 plus the “crack” area that is believed to be modifed by the prehistoric Sinagua Native American culture between 1150-1400AD. The petroglyphs on this panel are interpreted to be a solar calendar. The Sinagua are the pre-historic ancestors of the Hopi.
The V Bar V Heritage Site is located in the Red Rock District of the Coconino National Forest near Sedona, Arizona.

This is a carving found in the Ta Prohm temple in Cambodia that bears a striking resemblance to a Stegosaurus type dinosaur. Ta Prohm temple was built about the late 12th and early 13th centuries (1186) by King Jayavarman VII.
This naturally brings up the question, “How would an artist only a thousand years ago know what a stegosaurus looked like, unless he had seen one alive or was told what it looked like by someone else who had seen one alive?”
All over the world we find petroglyphs, pottery, paintings, tapestries, mosaics, and figurines of creatures that look strikingly like dinosaurs. We also find ancient stories from all over the world of humans interacting with giant reptilian creatures that sound very much like dinosaurs. Where did all these stories and artwork come from? Could it be that dinosaurs were still alive only a few centuries ago and humans still encountered them occassionally?
