The British Rail Class 800 Intercity Express Train or Azuma is a type of bi-mode multiple unit train built by Hitachi for Great Western Railway and London North Eastern Railway. The type uses electric motors powered from overhead electric wires for traction, but also has diesel generators to enable trains to operate on unelectrified track. Based on the Hitachi A-train design, the trains were built by Hitachi between 2014 and 2018. This model was originally made as an asset for the game Cities: Skylines. There are some minor simplifications to the texture and model to keep it optimised for the game. I saw this Train Engine once and was impressed by its sheer scale so much that I just had to model it.
I collected some reference material and started working on it, draw inspiration from a similar works from the game Metro Exodus
This work helped me get a deeper understanding of the Game pipeline.Followed all the necessary steps to fulfill the workflow of the actual video AAA game’s industry pipeline.
