Faience hippopotamus from Dra’ Abu el-Naga, Western Thebes. Middle Kingdom, 11th Dynasty in date. Currently in the the Egyptian Museum, Cairo, Egypt. . Cairo Museum number JE 21365. White lines seen on its sides and back are from monofilament used to secure it to its museum mount. Photographed in November 2022.
