I had a lot of fun modeling it with Blender, doing the uv’s and then importing it to Substance for the texture work, I recreated all the stencils in Phototshop, and did a lot of masking for each of them in Substance. I remember when i watched Tangled, The scene that left the deepest impression on me was this scene, the floating lights, the reflection in contrast to the dark of the night and the calm of the lake, it took my breath away and i didn’t even notice they already started singing.
I guess it might be cool to recreate scenes i like in order to also study the reasons i like them :)

Treasure Planet is one of my favourite Disney films of all time and deserves more recognition. After watching the film again, I decided I’d make a 3D model of Jim’s Solar Board.
Originally I had wanted to animate it so that it folded down but after modelling and texturing, I just had to show it off.
