The Shokaku was a Japanese aircraft carrier during the second world war. She took part in many naval battles during the Pacific War, including the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Battle of the Coral Sea and the battle of the Santa Cruz Islands. In this model she’s with Mitsubishi A6M “zero” fighters and Nakajima B5N torpedo bombers equipped with a Type-91 torpedo.

After beating down an attack from a group of greedy pirates. The crew decide to get ready to make chase. Practice is in order to make sure that this time those dogs wont get away.
I was inspired to do this peice after watching Master and Commander, and playing Return to the Obradin.
The goal of the peice was to practice some hand painted peices.
The model was originally meant to be low poly, but i decided to try and go with a bit more detail in certain areas just to try and make it look a bit nicer (most of the polys come from the rigging) 3D Model is ready to download for free, this model contains 137420 polygons.
