Fossil containing two Taxocrinus Meeki, one young Taxocrinus Meeki, two Pentrimites stems and one Platyceras.
Lower Carboniferous. Crawfordsville, Indiana. Taxocrinus is a crinoid and Pentrimites is a Blastoid; both of the phylum Echinodermata. Platyceras is a Gastropod; phylum Mollusca. This specimen is a good illustration of Platyceras being commensal on Taxocrinus.
