Inspiration for this piece was by the artist Chun Lo, (portfolio here: https://chunlo.weebly.com/) Sculpted first in Zbrush, then exported into Blender where I created the low poly mesh. Then textured in Substance painter with a mix of hand painting and masks. I had the pleasure of attending Weston Reid’s CGMA class on Stylized Characters and learned a load. Especially how leveraging HP bakes and Painter passes can get the best start on a greyscale. After that was a color gradient pass in Painter and then a final paint over in 3DCoat.
