Very happy with this one- a low poly pbr model of an A-wing, somewhere in between the Star Wars: Rebels and Return of the Jedi versions, complete with a low detail cockpit interior and pilot, and some of my best textures yet. The overall proportions and colorscheme are inspired by Rebels, but the engine tips, split nose and laser cannons are more like RotJ– really this design could go anywhere in the post-Clone Wars timeline.
The glass material uses the same textures as the hull, so if you had a huge fleet and wanted to improve performance, you can apply the hull material to the whole thing to have opaque black shiny glass, and then you could delete the pilot too to save on his material. On the other hand, if you want to get fancier and add some refraction to the glass, the glass pieces are their own separate elements, so it is easy to select them and add a little bit of thickness with a shell/solidify modifier in your 3D software of choice. Some lights in the engines will also make it look fancier. 1st place animation category in the Star Wars Sketchfab contest
This is my entry for the STAR WARS contest.
My coiche is: the battle of Endor - final scene.
To enjoy it fully pleas wait until the camera get in position.
It is a really nice thing the real time animation in sketchfab. As you know in sketchfab FBX camera are no supported, so, to get this movie effect, i did “reverse animating”. Everything but the camera is animated. Hope you enjoy this little mini real-time film
